After recording several rather elaborate albums of, as he called it, 'Big Music' and the loss of creative partner Karl Wallinger, Scotsman Mike Scott married and moved to Ireland. Out of that move came a 'new' Waterboys and a landmark album - Fisherman's Blues.
Scott found in Ireland new routes to travel in a search for what unites us and keeps us whole.
Live, this band produced two of the greatest nights of my concert-going life.
