Even more perplexing to me than the use of the word 'humanist' as a perjorative is the country's demonizing (for demogogic purposes) smart people. After six disastrous years of leadership by a guy whose only leadship quality was his perceived quality to be a better guy to share a beer with, perhaps we all will listen to Bill Maher next fall.
