I Got In Trouble With This In November of '04

An acquaintance, a nice but unworldly John Kerry worker, wanted immediate and bloody if necessary challenging of the vote in Ohio. For any number of reasons I thought that the idea was crazy and counterproductive. He wound up accusing me of not being a Democrat and we never spoke again (OK, there were a lot of reasons for not speaking).

It was almost as bad as that yelling match I got into w/ a gay Republican worker for Bush 1's '88 campaign (think lots of yelling about being the first in the ovens and counter arguments related to not having any income taxed all flavored by Jack Daniels)

Salon.com takes a look at RFK Jr's investigation of Ohio in 2004. Whole Story Here.

Thesis quote:

"The evidence he cites isn't new and his argument is filled with distortions and blatant omissions."

I also liked this one:

"... the Democratic Party's report once again -- notes conclusively: Despite the problems on Election Day, there is no evidence from our survey that John Kerry won the state of Ohio.' But Kennedy doesn't tell you that."
