Starting To Do What Has To Be Done

From Political Wire:

Warner Questions Clinton's Viablity

Mark Warner (D), who is eyeing a possible 2008 presidential bid, “questioned in a television interview last night whether Senator Hillary Clinton has widespread enough appeal to prevail in a national race,” reports the New York Times."After saying he had ‘tremendous respect’ for Mrs. Clinton and calling her a ‘formidable candidate’ for national office, Mr. Warner said that Mrs. Clinton was not the presumptive Democratic nominee."

We're reminded of Craig Crawford's excellent observation a few months ago that until one the potential Democratic presidential candidates "shows some inclination to openly challenge her pre-eminence, it is safe to assume that they are running mates in waiting."
