Marist Poll: NH Voters See Obama as More Electable
A new Marist Poll in New Hampshire finds Sen. Barack Obama leading among Democratic primary voters with 36% support, followed by Sen. Hillary Clinton at 28% and John Edwards at 22%.
Key finding: For the first time, more likely primary voters think Obama not Clinton has the best chance of beating the Republican candidate for president in November. 42% think Obama is most the most electable Democratic presidential candidate compared with 34% who believe Clinton is.
In the GOP race, Sen. John McCain receives the support of 35% of likely voters, followed by Mitt Romney at 31% and Mike Huckabee at 13%.
