Carville Wrong?

James Carville often points out that candidates who place their hopes on 'new voters' have a special designation: Loser.

Much of course has been said of Obama's outreach to 'the youth of America', those not traumatized by the 60's, 70's 80's or 90's.

Then there's this item from Think Progress:
65 percent: Number of people under the age of 30 who are “paying at least some attention to the 2008 presidential campaign,” according to a New York Times/CBS News poll. That number is up considerably from July 2003, when just “36 percent of those under age 30 were paying attention to the election.”
