Holiday Memories

If anything can be called a 'reason' for Punk Rock, it's probably this.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer, 1971. 'Nutrocker'

HEY!

Now now, mind you no rock band has any business doing Tchaikovsky (or Mussorgsky or Copland for that matter), but I thought the intro to Tarkus was pretty rad. And it takes some balls to strap on a keyboard controller for a custom Moog modular synth and strut around with it like it was a guitar.

Besides, everyone knows that the true reason for punk was Yes' Tales From Topographic Oceans anyway. Few artists could pack 10 minutes of decent tunes into a 4-side double album quite like they could.

I was always a Hoedown fan. Fanfare was horrible tho.

In the next few days, we'll be providing some ELP w/uncredited Prokovief theft.

Excellent point about Tales
