Good-bye Green Lake

And then it was over.

I'm in the car and we're heading to OshKosh for a visit to a fondly remembered outlet Mall.

Yesterday was our day to explore Ripon - birthplace of the GOP. Ripon, with population of 7620 and a College, is the area metropolis. None the les it is unmemorable enough that we didn'trealize that we'd been here before until we pulled up to the only store of interest. How GOP is that?

Last night we went to the Grandest of Greenlaks Resort, The HeidelHouse to hear a white soul/R&B band. We spent a large part of that time listening to an intoxicated father of two tell us how he was hiding from 'all of the girl talk' up in his room. Mostly he seemed to be wistfully dreaming of some girl action w/the hotties at tye bar. Married but not dead. I of course asked this Red State kinda guy who can fix the mess of the world that he had outlined ('don't be afraid of Korea. Be afraid of Venezuela') he said that we need a steong and smart leader ... 'which we don't have now'. So goes the heartland.
