RCP's chart offers some staggering data. A month ago, McCain's favorables exceeded his unfavorables by 20 points. That's now down to seven. In the same period, with relentless negative advertizing deployed against him, Obama's favorable-unfavorable margin remains unchanged at + 21. The only period when Obama's favorables declined was July.
