Warner, it's true, didn't really draw a meaningfully sharp contrast with McCain, though he uncorked a few predictable lines about us not being able to afford four more years of Bush policies.But rather than ideologically stiff-arm the left, Warner, who has succeeded in a historically red state by playing the role of post-partisan technocrat, sounded mostly predictable bipartisan tones that weren't at all out of sync with Obama's talk about reaching across party lines to get things done, etc., etc
Here's the Whole thing. I thought the delivery was better than expected.
