She will indeed be missed. I'm proud Ann was the first candidate I ever voted for once I reached voting age, in the Democratic gubernatorial primary in 1990. She's always been a much better representative of what Texans are really about.
It was a sad day in Texas to learn of Ann's passing. Although I did not live in Austin under her tenure, she was, and will be, an icon. And Alex is correct...she was a representative of what Texans (particulaly Austinites) are about. -Tom
